Like many collectors I find myself jumping into lines without any regard as to who they are or where they're from. If it's a cool looking figure or has some unique engineering I'll try to get my hands on them for the sake of fulfilling that itch. Granted this isn't the norm and I do have some semblance of self control. I usually base my judgment on monetary, spacial, or even if I really need said item in my collection in the first place. Now shifting ever so closely to the actual subject of this journal I want to bring your attention to a couple of items that I want but I doubt will ever get in my collection. The first and admittedly more unrealistic of the two is this Smart Doll Plus which is a magnificent beast of a figure haha. Source: Smart Doll Webpage Coming in at a whopping $3,611 USD there is no way I could justify that price tag despite how much I'd want to have one in my collection. I mean I honestly wouldn't even know where to put this figure let alone what I'd do with

So after much deliberation I think I have finalized which Smart Doll will be my next 1/3 scale doll. There was a long period of time where I couldn't find a doll that really drew my attention. Don't get me wrong I would really appreciate having any Smart Doll, but I wanted to make sure I got one that I knew I'd connect with. That being said it wasn't until Danny Choo announced the next batch of girls that I believe I found the one. Meet Freedom, she hasn't been given a release date yet but I'm hoping it's in the near future. Photo Credit Danny Choo To be fair she does utilize the same head shape as Erica, but with the faceup, hair and eye color I think she is different enough to stand out from her. Now as for what sparked my interest in her in particular is a thought that came to mind. I always wanted to re-shell my first BJD Amber Aki and I think this would be the perfect opportunity to do so. I'm trying my hardest not to get my hopes up too high because for all we know she can

Recently I felt the urge to redo my collecting space and during the process I removed several pieces of old furniture. Included in the lot of stuff sent to Goodwill was my little slice of solitude from the chaos of the world. Sure it's one small shelf in the grand scheme of things but to me it was a space to capture my own adventures. From the very beginning of my photography hobby I wanted a blank space where I could control everything from the scenery to the lighting. Almost akin to a sound stage I was able to fill the void with whatever I could imagine. From the vastness of space to a night beach landing or even a space for numerous amounts of portraits I always appreciated my little studio space that I made out of sheets of black cardstock. In a way I kinda regret getting rid of it but in order for my photography to grow I felt like it was the right decision. This in conjunction with other shenanigans put me in a rut recently and caused my creative output to slow to a

Heyo! I hope you're well! Sorry I've been so quiet lately. I've been working on a lot of things, so I really don't stay on the computer longer than I have to. I've started cataloging my collections, so creative photography kinda went out the window. Lots of pictures are being taken, but they're super boring. xD They look like mug shots.

Hey no worries I figured you had some stuff going on so don't sweat it! Although a part of me thought I scared you off by my lack of responses Onionhead Alone - Onion head Regardless glad to hear from you and I hope everything is good on your end as well. As for myself it's been alright it could be better but eh Han Solo Shrug IconIt's funny that you mention that because I've been thinking about doing that with my collection. There was an app you could use for it but I don't remember what it was called.

Nah, I figured you probably had stuff going on as well. It looks like you've been taking some cool pics lately, though! :D

I'm glad you're managing to hang in there. Hopefully better days are coming.

For my list, I use a spreadsheet, and tags. I've started with my horses, so they each get a tag (like a hanging price tag), with an ID# that corresponds to my catalog.

The spreadsheet lists things like the name, brand, year made, etc. and I'm working on each entry linking to photos. onion head 'dizzy1'

Thank you I'm glad someone likes them Lucy - sigh feel like I've regressed to the point of no return haha.

Thank you and it's been a rough couple of weeks and I apologize once again for the hiatus. My Grandmother passed away so that is something that hit pretty hard but I'm trying to persevere.

I've definitely got to sit down and do something similar. Although I look at my 1/6 scale collection and it fits on two shelves. Granted they're crammed in their but I always thought I had more.
